Program Guide

The Program Guide provides guidance for reading and understanding the Charlotte Future 2040 Community Area Plans (CAPs). It provides a brief overview of the Comprehensive Plan, 2040 Policy Map, and information about the CAP planning process. In addition, the Program Guide provides information about other city- and county-wide policies that support the CAPs.

Please sell Tarlton Hills to a developer who can make a much more dense and profitable development for the city tax base and include some affordable housing units. The crime and shootings there are continual.

Can you please clarify why we don't have minimum acreage for N1 place-type? Logically, N1 neighborhood type should have higher minimum acreage than N2 place-type.

Suggestion
Could you please consider reducing minimum acreage for N2 place-type? This requirement will negatively impact future residential infill development that we commonly see in high cost locations (e.g. south end, southpark, etc.). These neighborhoods have strong demand for housing but this requirement will not allow towhome subdivision that has fewer than 50-60 townhome units. Target customer/ consumer wants smaller townhome sub-divisons that are affordable and delivers a luxury, custom, and unique product.
