Suggestion
TENNIS COURTS!!! YES! You can always play pickleball on a tennis court, but you can't play tennis on a pickleball court.

This is the best use for this parcel. Generic, low maintenance, easy to access and use and attractive to the young and old.

Concern
Ah here it is. For god sakes please stop building the current park & rec fad. This and pickle ball courts are about the dumbest things I've heard proposed this year. Sometimes just because grant money is available doesn't mean it should be used to go nuts. If successful, a pump track installation will take the crown from the skatepark as stupidest decision by the city council to date.

Love the splash pad and toys. Little kids down have much available in town so this would be perfect and will be a better draw for the community center

With this park so close to town, I can see it as a destination spot. People will come from out of town to go to restaurants downtown and shop, and go to the park for the kids to run around. Having everything available in 1 spot is so nice. Toys, biking, courts — all good for everyone and all walkable.

Suggestion
Why remove the 4 current baseball fields at Fairgrounds park? Better use of funds would be to revitalize the current baseball fields around Battle Ground rather than to create new ones on the Durkee property.
