How can these neighborhood centers be of comfortable use without setting up the surrounding neighborhood to be comfortable, safe, and easy to walk through partially by making it harder to drive in an unsafe manner. replies

Less lawn, more gardens and plantings with native trees and shrubs. Visitors will not remember buildings as much as they will green space. replies
Ernie McLaney Mar 20 2021 at 5:40PM on page 1 Suggestion Where is the inclusion of quality green space in this goal? Mixed use must also include strong consideration for natural setting, tree canopy, and pocket parks. Charlotte needs to aggressively incorporate true concepts of landscaping sustainability into its goal of mixed use. We are so out of step with this when compared to other cities. This is especially true if you are considering this to be a neighborhood idea. replies
Ernie McLaney Mar 20 2021 at 5:33PM on page 1 Suggestion At the same time we "accommodate" places of employment, let's not allow the clearcutting of the landscape. We must also be focused on our region's tree canopy, lessen the usage of lawns, increase the use of natural areas and quality greenspace. These work place campuses can also proved ideal landscapes for pocket parks. replies
