Kent Comprehensive Plan

The City of Kent has spent the last two years actively working with the community through workshops, pop-up events, surveys, and other outreach to get your thoughts and priorities for the future of Kent. Your concerns, ideas, and recommendations have been used to shape this plan. As we move closer to the required adoption date at the end of the year, we need your help again. This time we need your feedback on the draft plan, the goals, and policies that is the roadmap for our decision makers for the next 20 years.

Kent WA Comp Plan Alternatives

This mapping activity provides an opportunity to learn about and explore three potential growth alternatives for Kent's future. It’s important to remember that the City has not selected a growth alternative yet - we need your input on the maps below. Ultimately, the City must select a preferred alternative. The final growth alternative could be one of these three alternatives, or even a mix-and-match combination of things you like from different alternatives!

We want to hear from you!  Watch the video below and share your thoughts by leaving a pin or comment on the maps themselves. Tell us what you like, any concerns you have, suggestions for improvement, or any questions. Your input matters!

Don't forget to explore the three alternative maps by switching between the pages and click the blue buttons on the left side of the map for more information and tips.

Concern
The new crosswalk near the USPS office is extremely unsafe. It is almost impossible to see pedestrians who are crossing. Also, cars often do not stop here even if the crosswalk lights are flashing. It's very chaotic and dangerous.
